Sutherland beach scoops award
Sutherland is well known for its beautiful beaches; so it comes as no surprise that it has received an award.
The independent environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful, announced the awards last week.
Councillor Deirdre Mackay, area leader for Sutherland, said:
"It is amazing that yet again Sutherland has scooped so many prestigious awards," she said. "Congratulations must go to the people who do so much to keep our beautiful beaches clean and welcoming.
